Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model since 11 November 1996. She made her feature film debut with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to appear as a anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Donavan played the role in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte played Taffin (in 1988) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. A photographer approached Doody. Doody began to model, which turned into an industry-related career in modelling. Doody was averse to glamour and nude work, a rule she carried over to her acting. After getting noticed by the directors of casting for the James Bond new film, Doody took a small part in Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was named as one of the 12 most promising new Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody She was just 18 at the time she played Doody in A prayer for the dying (1987) with Mickey Rourke, is the youngest Bond girl to be seen. A Prayer for the Dying starring Mickey Rourke also had a performance by Doody, playing IRA Siobhan. Doody played an unseen role as the wife of Archibald Craven Lilias as she appeared in his film of a dream, the 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The first time she appeared was in the movie Taffin opposite Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist, Nazi-sympathizer, and antagonist to Harrison Ford. Doody played the role in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indy's father. Doody was a co-star in the year 1991 alongside Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was in the spirit of a publication scam known as the Hitler Diaries. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson's role. She then played Flannery Sheen's wife and agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. Doody who was away from acting for almost 10 years, returned in 2003 to play a small part on The Actors, a British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine was her character in a scene during the ceremony for awards. Doody was a co-star, along alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Doody had a minor role in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). She guested in RTE's medical drama The Clinic. The project was later canceled. Her first two seasons of Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. The following year, she appeared as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018 she received the Almeria award for best film as well as a star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
